Moldex Realty inaugurates Grand Clubhouse

MANILA, Philippines - Families in and around Valenzuela City gathered recently to spend a fun-filled weekend at one of Moldex Realty’s most exciting property developments in northern Metro Manila, the resort-living-inspired Moldex Residences (MR) Valenzuela.

The event, which served to inaugurate the condominium community’s beautiful two-story Grand Clubhouse, was also highlighted by a day-long lifestyle bazaar, a diverse lineup of side activities for guests, and the introduction of Moldex Residences Valenzuela’s new celebrity endorser: actress, entrepreneur,  TV host, a loving mother to three beautiful children, and devoted wife Gladys Reyes.

“It’s an honor to be chosen by Moldex Realty as the endorser of Moldex Residences Valenzuela,” said Reyes, who was joined by husband Christopher and their three children. “The first time I saw our unit, I instantly loved it. I’m excited about coming home to such a peaceful, secured, and relaxing environment.”

A residential haven with resort-type amenities and family-friendly facilities, Moldex Residences Valenzuela is a community of medium-rise condominiums designed to offer a safe, refreshing refuge from the hustle and bustle of the modern urban lifestyle. It is nestled on a flood-free area along Maysan Road in Brgy. Paso de Blas, just 500 meters from the Valenzuela exit of the North Luzon Expressway and sits closely to the city’s business, institutional, and commercial centers.

The newly opened Grand Clubhouse—the latest milestone in the development of Moldex Residences Valenzuela—features a lounge area, a fitness gym, a game room, and a multi-purpose function hall. These match the sense of leisure and comfort evoked by the residential buildings, each of which takes design inspiration from modern Asian architecture and offers a wide range of unit-types, from studios, to one- and two-bedroom units. Also included in the project site’s impressive set of community and recreational facilities are garden-inspired landscaped pocket parks, pavilions and gazebos, open-air playcourts, a swimming pool, a tanning deck, jogging trails lined by gardens, and a playground for children.

The Fast and Furious star Paul Walker died in Car Crash Accident

According to ALEX GREIG, TARA BRADY and DAVID MCCORMACK of http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

The Fast and Furious star Paul Walker died in Car Crash Accident

Actor Paul Walker, best known for his role in the Fast & Furious action movies, has died in a car crash after his friend lost control of a Porsche GT which smashed into a pole and a tree.
The high-powered super-car, which was being driven by Roger Rodas, burst into flames after it crashed in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, at 3:30pm on Saturday.
Walker, 40, who appeared in five of the six films about illegal street racing and heists, had been at an event for his charity Reach Out Worldwide before deciding to take the car, a cherry-red Porsche Carrera, out for a drive with his friend.
The fundraiser, to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan, had been taking place in a race car shop near the scene of the crash.
Guests rushed to put out the flames with fire extinguishers but the fireball had already engulfed the car.
The driver of the car has been identified as former race car driver Roger Rodas, 38, who was also Walker's financial adviser.
The pair were friends and had been racing for several years before they began collaborating on Walker's finances.

Typhoon survivors in Philippines struggle for aid

According to http://newsinfo.inquirer.net

TACLOBAN, Philippines – Rescuers faced blocked roads and damaged airports on Monday as they raced to deliver desperately needed tents, food and medicines to the typhoon-devastated eastern Philippines where thousands are believed dead.

Three days after the Typhoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan) ravaged the region, the full scale of the disaster was only now becoming apparent. Authorities estimated that up to 10,000 people may have died. In the city of Tacloban, corpses hung from trees and were scattered on sidewalks. Many were buried in flattened buildings.

“This area has been totally ravaged”, said Sebastien Sujobert, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tacloban. “Many lives were lost, a huge number of people are missing, and basic services such as drinking water and electricity have been cut off,” he said.

He said both the Philippine Red Cross and the ICRC offices in Tacloban had been damaged, forcing staff to relocate temporarily.

“Yolanda” hit the eastern seaboard of the Philippines on Friday and quickly barreled across its central islands, packing winds of 235 kph (147 mph) that gusted to 275 kph (170 mph), and a storm surge of 6 meters (20 feet).

It inflicted serious damage to at least six of the archipelago’s more than 7,000 islands, with Leyte, Samar and the northern part of Cebu appearing to bear the brunt of the storm. About 4 million people were affected by the storm, the national disaster agency said.

Survivors walk through the rubble of damaged homes and a ship that was washed ashore in Tacloban city, Leyte province, central Philippines on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. The city remains littered with debris from damaged homes as many complain of shortages of food and water and no electricity since Typhoon “Yolanda” (Haiyan) slammed into their province. “Yolanda, one of the most powerful storms on record, slammed into six central Philippine islands Friday, leaving a wide swath of destruction and scores of people dead. AP

Video from Eastern Samar province’s Guiuan township — the first area where the typhoon made landfall — showed a trail of devastation. Many houses were flattened and roads were strewn with debris and uprooted trees. The ABS-CBN video showed several bodies on the street, covered with blankets.

“Even me, I have no house, I have no clothes. I don’t know how I will restart my life, I am so confused,” an unidentified woman said, crying. “I don’t know what happened to us. We are appealing for help. Whoever has a good heart, I appeal to you — please help Guiuan.”

The United Nations said it was sending supplies but reaching the worst hit areas was a challenge.

“Reaching the worst affected areas is very difficult, with limited access due to the damage caused by the typhoon to infrastructure and communications,” said UNICEF Philippines Representative Tomoo Hozumi.

MANILA, Philippines – Celebrities from around the globe took to social media to express sympathy and offer support to the Philippines, which suffered devastation due to super typhoon Yolanda, which made landfall in the country Friday, November 8.

Yolanda, international name Haiyan, is said to be one of the strongest typhoons in recent history. The super typhoon left an estimate of at least 10,000 casualties in the provinces of Leyte, Samar, and many other parts of the Visayas.

Posts from Hollywood artists, international musicians and sportsmen alike appeared on social media after the storm headlined in news around the world.

The Miss Universe 2013 coronation night held November 10 (MNL) in Moscow, Russia was dedicated to the victims of Yolanda in the Philippines and Vietnam.

Pope Francis also used his official Twitter account @pontifex to ask for unity in prayer for the Philippines.

Here are international celebrities who sent messages of support to the Philippines:

In their official website, NBA’s Miami HEAT coach Erik Spoelstra offered prayers and condolences.

“On behalf of the Miami HEAT organization, we would like to extend our condolences to the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We value the many fans that we have over there, and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.”

Korean star Lee Min Ho, who visited the Philippines earlier this year used Facebook to send his thoughts.

During the MTV Europe Music Awards held November 10 in Amsterdam, Jared Leto of American rock band 30 Seconds to Mars offered a minute of silence for the Yolanda victims.

On Tuesday, November 12, Grammy-winning Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, whose mother is from the Philippines, urged his fans to give money to help victims of the devastating Typhoon Haiyan.

“HELP THE PHILIPPINES! People in the Philippines need our help right away! Please consider donating to Haiyan disaster relief. You’ll feel good that you did,” the 38-year-old wrote on his official websitebeside a link to the web page of the American Red Cross.
